Trump met with Secret Service Director Cheatle on Tuesday, ABC News reports

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Former President Donald Trump met with Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle on Tuesday, ABC News reported on Thursday, citing a source.

The meeting took place at the former president’s hotel in Milwaukee three days after a shooting at the Republican presidential candidate’s rally in Pennsylvania in which Trump was shot and left with a bleeding ear. It was not clear what was discussed in the meeting.

Security at the rally has been under scrutiny and many Republican lawmakers have called on Cheatle to resign.
