Wall Street opens slightly higher as investors assess possible tariff exemptions

(Reuters) – Wall Street’s main indexes edged up at the open on Tuesday, as investors assessed the possibility of tariff relief for the auto sector after President Donald Trump floated the idea of more exemptions

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 3.0 points, or 0.01%, at the open to 40,527.82. The S&P 500 rose 6.0 points, or 0.11%, at the open to 5,411.99​, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 10.9 points, or 0.06%, to 16,842.393 at the opening bell.
