Trump order looks to tap coal in quest to power data centers, Bloomberg News reports

(Reuters) – U.S. President Donald Trump is seeking to expand the mining and use of coal inside the country in a bid to power the boom in data centers, Bloomberg News reported on Tuesday, citing a senior White House official.

In an executive order that Trump is expected to sign on Tuesday afternoon, he will set out a number of steps by the government designed to reinvigorate the coal industry, the report said.
